Beulah Yates Berryman

Beulah Yates Berryman of Crewe, VA closed her eyes and peacefully departed this earth into eternal rest at the age of 71 on February 11th.  She was born the 4th child of 10 children to the late Reverend Floyd Sr. and Elizabeth Dodson on November 10th.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby brother, Marvin Dodson.  She was also preceded in death by 3 sister-in-laws Shirley Dodson, Frances Dodson and Lovada Dodson and 1 brother in law, Elder Hubert Eddings.

Beulah attended Ingleside Elementary School and graduated from Luther H. Foster High School, in Nottoway County, VA.  Shortly after high school Beulah began working at several places in housekeeping and factory work, she later retired from Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in BUrkeville, VA.  After retirement, Beulah enjoyed being around friends, family and having a good time.

Beulah loved people, she never met a stranger and wherever she went , she was known to everyone.  She was always helping someone, taking them somewhere or just being a friend.  There wasn't anything that she wouldn't do to help others.  She did not know how to say no, if she had something, you could have it.  She always had a warm smile to give and loved to laugh.  She loved working in the garden, cooking, cleaning and having fun with her family.  She adored her loving daughter who was by her side until the end.  Beulah was an amazing cook and loved to clean.  It wold be nothing to wake up looking around the house for and she'd be out in the garden at 5'Oclock or having the house lite up from bleach and ammonia so strong that you couldn't sleep.  It was nothing for someone to say that her was so clean that you could eat off the floor.  It did not matter the time of day you were always welcome to her house.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Berryman of Capital Heights, MD, a devoted daughter, Katrina Lee (Jason, Sr.) of Fluvanna, VA and a son, Erwin Berryman.  Four grandchildren: Destiny, Kailah, Jason Jr, and Elijah Lee.  Five sisters, Catherine Fonville (Christopher) of Bridgeport, CT Louis Dodson, Richmond VA, Ruby Dodson, Burkeville, VA, Hattie Dodson and her paby sister,  Brown of Burkeville, VA.  Three brothers: Floyd Dodson, David Dodson (Mabel) and Leon Dodson.  She is also survived by a cousin who was like a brother, Norman Carter of Baltimore, MD.
