Dan Owens Sr. Obituary

Dan Anderson Owens Sr. was born to the parents of the late John and Elizabeth (Allen) Owens. Dan joined the Forest Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Prince Edward County Public Schools in Farmville, VA. and later joined the U.S. Army on October 1, 1973.

Dan was joined in Holy matrimony to Arlene Brown of Baltimore Maryland on July 9, 1988. To this union, one son was born, Dan A. Owens Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Deacon John T. Owens, and grandson, Andre Lockett Jr. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: His loving mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen Owens; his children: Stella Redd, Dan Owens Jr (Deatra), Tavon Wheeler, and Lakisha Wheeler; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters: Illian Price (Fred), Baltimore MD, Minnie Cooper (Robert) Baltimore MD., Delores Barta (Craig), Albuquerque New Mexico, Marie Carey (Samuel), Keysville VA, Berndaette Owens, Petersburg VA. Brothers: Robert Allen (Pastor Barbara), Baltimore MD., John Owens Jr. (Evelyn), Meherrin VA, Morris Owens (Loberta, deceased) Meherrin VA., James Owens of Meherrin VA., Herman Owens of North Carolina, Lawrence Owens of Baltimore MD., seven aunts, one Godchild, Min. Christopher Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
