It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Catherine Jane at her home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and grace, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Catherine Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She brought joy to those around her with her infectious laughter, motherly nature, and unconditional love. Her home was always open and her table always set for anyone in need of comfort and companionship.
Born on January 6, 1934 in Hampden Sydney, Virginia to David and Martina Williams (preceeded in death to their everlasting home), where she grew up and cultivated a deep appreciation for family, community, and the simple pleasures of life. Throughout her years, she faced challenges with resilience and faced each day with optimism and strength.
In her spare time, Catherine Jane enjoyed baking, yard work, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature, and the company of loved ones. Her kindness knew no bounds, she extended her care and nurturing tirelessly for those who were dear to her heart; leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered.
Catherine Jane was married to John Lee Randall on September 12, 1964 (she will meet him at the heavenly gates). From this union the Randall Tribe was born that consists of (8) children; (3) preceeded her in death - Willie Mae Edmonds(daughter), Gary Randall (son), and Catherine Randall (Lil Cathy- daughter). She is survived by Mike Randall (son), Joyce Reid (daughter), Joann Montague (daughter), Diane Randall (daughter), Debra Epps (daughter), Carroll Epps (son in law) , Richard Montague (son in law), grand-children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy of love and compassion. Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit will forever live on in the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of Catherine Jane’s life will be held at The Train Station in Farmville, Virginia immediately following the burial service.
May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
