Catherine C. Whiting

Mrs. Catherine Whiting was born on May 28, 1926 to the late John & Eliza Copeland. She was 1 of 10 children. Which 5 sisters and 1 brother has proceeded her in death. At an early age she joined the Old Green Creek Baptist Church where she remained a member. She retired from Longwood College where she worked as a custodial worker for many years. Catherine was married to the late Richard T. Whiting. She was the mother of 11 children; 5 have proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory: Margaret Smith (Henry) and Evelyn Wilson (Richard) of Cumberland, VA; Shirley Beasley (Joseph) of Prospect, VA; Deborah (Dale) Allen and Cathy (Clinton) Walker of Farmville, VA and Kenneth (Robin) Whiting of Richmond, VA. 23 Grandchildren ( 1 deceased grandson) and a host of Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews cousins and friends. 4 special friends: Sylvester Robinson, Martha White, Pauline Whitaker and Nellie Blanton. 1 very dedicated Granddaughter, Toni Copeland.
