Charlie L Lee

Charlie L. Lee of Rice, VA., closed his eyes and peacefully departed this earth into eternal rest at the age of 70 on February 13, 2020.   He was born to the late Charlie and Mable Lee.  In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by 4 brothers and six sisters.  He accepted Christ at an early age at High Rock Baptist Church where he attended faithfully until he went home to be with the Lord.  Charlie attended Prince Edward County Public Schools, graduating in 1970 as the first graduating class of Prince Edward County High School.  After graduation, Charlie began working for Prince Edward County Public Schools, where he remained for over 40 years until his retirement in 2012.  Charlie loved working as a maintenance worker, bus driver and retired as a Supervisor of Custodians.  Whenever he was not at home building or spending time with family, you could find him at the school.  He leaves to cherish his memories; his devoted wife of 51 years, Virginia C. Lee; 4 children, Kenneth Lee (Lisa) of Warner Robins, GA., Sandra A. Lee (Thomas) of Rice, VA., Jason Lee Sr., (Katrina) if Charlottesville, VA., and Laken Lee of Lynchburg, VA 9 grandchildren; Byron Brandon, Jason Jr, Tomia, Destiny, Makiyagh, Layla and Elijah Lee; 3 sisters, Nelvinia Jackson of Rice, VA., Addie Wilson of Baltimore, MD., and Euginie Yancy (David) of Chesterfield, VA, 1 devoted cousin who he considered as a sister, Francis Spencer, 6 sister-in-laws, Annie Nunnally, Mary Nunnally, Rosette Lee, Virginia Lee, Shirley Lee, Laverne Lee and 1 brother in law, Walter Clark.
