Corletta Mae Younger

On September 13, 2026 our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother departed this earth and went home peacefully to be with our Lord. 

Corletta Mae Younger, affectionately known as “Carla” was born on January 15, 1968 in Lynchburg Va. She attended schools in both Virginia and New Jersey. Later in life Corletta accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and became a member of Midway Baptist Church. 

Corletta was preceded in death by her father, Danny Brown, and her brothers, David Brown and  Richard Brown. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James Younger of Lynchburg VA, her mother, Sarah Coleman of New Jersey, her beloved sons Akeem Brown of Lynchburg VA, Kawson Brown (Karen) of Roanoke VA, and Kadeem Brown of Lynchburg VA. Seven grandchildren; Aakia Brown, Adinah Brown, Kamille Brown, Kyrie Brown, Kendrix Brown, Onyx Miller and Iris Brown;  and a loving sister, Toni Copeland.   She also leaves behind her uncles, Robert Trent and James Brown; and four aunts, Gertrude E. Trent, Ruby T. Carter, Eleanor Trent and Kathy Rose.    Corletta leaves behind wonderful in-laws who loved her dearly and will forever hold her in their hearts along with a host of neices, nephews and cousins.
