Deborah S. Williams was born October 10, 1929 in Passaic, NJ. She was the second oldest child born to the late John H. and Viola J. Johnson.
As a young girl her parents moved from New Jersey and settled in Farmville, Virginia where her family lived.
Deborah attended public school in Virginia and as a teenager she wanted to leave Virginia and she went to live with her grandmother in Rutherford, N. C. and attended school there. From there she moved to Paterson N. J., where she got a job working in a shoe factory. She worked there for years until the company went out of business.
She found another job at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ., as a Dietitian in the Food Service Dept., and she worked there for 32 years until she retired.
Deborah became a witness on April 4, 2002 when she was baptized and dedicated her life to Jehovah.
Deborah moved back to Virginia in 2012 and lived there until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Williams; Son, Frank Johnson and brothers, Thomas, Donald and Raymond Johnson. Her sisters, Helen Shoemaker and Margaret Caldwell.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her brother John Johnson, Jr.; brother in-law, John Caldwell, Sr; two sister in-laws, Edith Walker and Cornelius Johnson. Her children: Wynona Hogan (Clarence) and Tia L. Wheeler. Deborah also leaves to cherish her memories 6 grandchildren: Lorenzo and Maurice Bethea, Tiaira and Ashley Wheeler, Princess Gray and Mahasin Kirby. 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grand child and one special nephew: Douglas Johnson (Linda) and a host of other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
