Dorothy V Jordan

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Dorothy Virginia Paige-Jordan departed this life on Friday, February 7, 2020 at her home in Hampden Sydney, VA.  Her parents, were the late Watson Paige and Susie Moss Paige.

At an early age, Dorothy accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized and joined Mercy Seat Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her transition.  On January 9, 1954, Dorothy was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jessie James Jordan and from this union six children were born.  Dorothy loved her family unconditionally.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Jordan; her daughter Janet Jordan, 3 brothers; James, John, and Walter Paige and a sister Ophelia Paige Womack.

She leaves to cherish her momories: 5 children, JoAnn Walker (Clarence) of Hampden Sydney, VA; Arretha Jordan of Hampden Sydney VA; Barry Jordan (Denise) of Waldorf, MD.; Jessie Jordan (Towanda) of Pamplin, VA; & June Jordan (Gary) of Hampden Sydney VA., 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Alma Hudson of Southern Pines, NC and Hattie Thompson Ordell of Richmond, VA and a brother, William Paige (Florence) of Hampden Sydney, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
