Edora Loria Carter entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 16th at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Edora was born on August 17th and is the daughter of Alberta Stiff Ford and the late Bennett Lee Ford of Prospect, VA. At an early age, she was baptized and joined Sulphur Spring Church and in later years begin attending Solid Rock Baptist Church. She joined her husband Randy Carter of Rice in holy matrimony on November 23, 1978, and from this union was blessed with three children. Edora worked for many years for Home Aid Inc. at several locations. She also worked 18 years for Hospice of Central Virginia where she gained the name "Edorable" She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 41 years; Randy B. Carter; mother, Alberta Stiff Ford of Prospect, VA; one daughter Artesha Carter of Rice, VA; two sons, Randy T. Carter (Coral) of Madison Heights, VA Jeremy Carter (Amy) of Rice, VA.; two sisters, Shirley Banks (Therman) of Hampden Sydney, VA, Rosa Berryman of Chesterfield; four brothers, Moses Ford of Prospect, VA, Edward Ford (Youlanda) of Richmond, VA, Howard Ford (Faye) of Chesapeake, VA, Stuart Ford (Bernice) of Prospect, VA.; eight grandchildren, Damir, Brian, Tiarra, Breana, David, Brandon, Jordan and Kevin; three aunts, Ida Scott, Jenny Davis and Dora Scott; one uncle, Wilson Ford, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
