Emma Adelle Watson went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2023, peacefully at home while sleeping. She accepted Christ as a child, was baptized and joined Midway Baptist Church, of Farmville, VA. She was baptized and joined Midway Baptist Church of Farmville, VA. She was a faithful and dedicated member. She served as co-editor of the Hospitality Ministry. She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. James L. Watson, Sr. as well as her mother Mrs. Charlotte Bland and father, Mr. Richard Foster.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Mr. James Johnson, a lifelong companion; a daughter, Bonnie Adelle Chess of Chandler, AZ; two sons, James L. Watson, Jr. of Buffalo, NY and Ronnie Blanton, of Dillwyn, VA; sisters, Mary Coselle, Rose Morgan, and Nora Thompson; brothers, George Bland, Eddie Bland, Jeffrey Foster and Christopher Foster. Four grandchildren, Walter E. Hairston, III of El Paso, TX; Jelesa Davis of Buffalo, NY; Micah Watson of Buffalo, NY and Chel- sea Chess of Chandler, AZ; 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, a special friend Mrs. Mary Lou Gould.
