Essence La-Shon Lee

Essence La’Shon Lee, age 47 of Richmond, VA died February 15, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Richmond after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved daughter of Carolyn L. Bunch and Norman E. Steward (deceased) of Richmond, VA. Essence attended New Deliverance Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. She attended and graduated from Prince Edward County Schools. Essence enjoyed cheerleading and any activity presented to her. After graduating she worked in the medical field at St. Mary’s Hospital and other private medical practices. She also worked as a loan officer until her health started to fail her. She always enjoyed her work and being around others. Essence enjoyed spending her time shopping, being with her children, family and friends. She enjoyed being “on the road” making new memories with them. Whenever you saw Essence she always had a “beautiful smile” and would engage you in some good conversation and leave you laughing.

Essence is survived by her 3 children: Kendrick Bowles, Jaylen Baker and Amayia Bolden; Mother: Carolyn Bunch; Sister: Tonika Lee and brother : Raphael Stewart; 5 special Aunts and 5 special uncles and her devoted and special sister Tonika Lee of Richmond. She also leaves a host of other relatives, friends and her special friends: Tolama, Adrian and Reddie.
