Frank Junius Moseley, (affectionately known as Buck) was born July 30th 1942 to the late Gladys Ferguson Moseley Thomas and Junius Miller in Prince Edward County, Virginia. He was the eldest of 4 siblings 2 who preceded him in death; brother James P Thomas (Bubba); and sister Mattie Moseley (Mutt).
Born and raised in Farmville and baptized at an early age at Race Street Baptist Church. Frank attended school at Robert R. Moton until school closed in 1959. Afterwards he worked a number of jobs to make ends meet. Frank's legacy is marked by his strong work ethic and his ability to roll up his sleeves no matter the task and get the job done. He did landscaping work and also worked in the bowling alley. When that closed, Frank went on to work as a caddy by day and in the local pool room, at night where he sharpened his skills as a pool shark.
When he turned 20, he was referred by a friend to work at a summer camp for girls in Medford, NJ and later a restaurant in Long Island from 62-65. When he finally returned to Farmville, while working at what is now Belks, he was notified of another job working on the construction of a new home. This offer was life changing and put him on a path for a life long career in construction. After a couple of months working there, he was approached by Mr. Andrew of Andew, Large and Whitten to come work for his construction company. He worked there for 39 years, before retiring early at age 62.
Frank enjoyed fishing, listening to soul music and taking long walks across the town. His hobby was gathering for recycling and keeping an eye out to find money in the streets while walking.
Frank leaves to Cherish a wife Rita Odom Moseley, 2 children, JoAnn Moseley-Chambers, Frank Moseley II, a sister Ruth Moseley, 3 aunts Loveline Wilson, Elsie May Ferguson Cham, Roberta Ferguson, a granddaughter Bryonna Chambers, a Niece Joi Smith, 3 nephew's; Carlos Moseley (Drew), Lamont Moseley, Jamie Smith and great nieces; Carlisa Jasmine Smith, Jonia Smith, Jaquera Smith and great nephew Jakiah Smith, and a host of cousins and friends.
