Gary Linwood Holcomb, Sr.

Gary Linwood Holcomb, Sr. age 67 of Charlotte Court House, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Richmond. He was the son of the late Thomas Walton Holcomb, Sr. and Wilmore Wilson Holcomb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lucille Holcomb and James and Rosa W. Wilson; brother, Thomas Walton Holcomb, Jr.; and niece, LaTreasa Holcomb Davis. 

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a son, Gary L. Holcomb. Jr. (Claudia) of Bloomington, Cal; daughter, Tanikia Holcomb of Durham, North Carolina; step-daughter, Keisha Watkins (Alphonso); step-son Troy Faggins (Carla); grandchildren and  great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Dennis (Jimmy) of Waynesboro, Vernelle Dews (Ricky) of Charlotte Court House, and Regina Holcomb of Charlotte Court House;; aunts, Martha Smith, Mary Holcomb (George), Ruth Holcomb (James); sister-in-law, Jacqueline Holcomb; special friends, Robert Spencer, Charles Spencer, Russell Spencer, Jerome Spencer, and the Spencer Family, Bert Godbee, Cyrus Shuford, Roger Atkins, and Dennis Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Brookneal with military rites. Condolences may be expressed at http://www.JeffressFuneralHome.com. Arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Brookneal.
