George "Sunny" Johnson

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” Psalm 116:15

On Monday, December 20, 2021 the Lord came by and whispered ”Come home my child you have fought a good fight and finished the course. George C. Johnson (Sunny) was born on October 7, 1941 to the late Earl and Annie Johnson.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Lessie Simms, Rose Thompson, Patrick Johnson, William Tucker, Susie West and Spencer Johnson. He joined Macedonia Baptist Church at a young age and attended the Russell Grove High School, Amelia, VA.

George leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers: James E. Johnson, Jr (Dorothy) of Newport News, VA and Wallace Johnson of Burkeville, VA.; two sisters: Nancy Parsley of Salem, N.J., and Patsy Evans (Clarence) of Burkeville, VA. He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and a very special friend, Jean Parley.
