George Leander Morton

George Leander Morton was born January 12th to the late George and Mary Morton.  He was educated in Prince Edward County Public School in Farmville VA.  Leander was employed by west Point-Pepperell Company in Petersburg, VA.  Leander loved the Lord and his family.  His favorite hobbies were drawing, playing basketball and playing the guitar.  To know George was to love George, he was kind, loving and open hearted to all.  He leaves to cherish his memories; one brother Stacey Morton Sr., six sisters Florene Forte, Bonita Morton, Dorita Boothe, Dovene Spencer (James), Charlene Carter and Marian Fitch (Frank).  Four Aunts: Barbara Faines, Martha Morton, Dorothy Dennis and Deloris Dennis, and one uncle Russell Dennis, along with a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.
