Early Friday morning, August 28, 2020, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came for his beloved Hattie Haskins Dabney and carried her to the eternal home he prepared for her. She was born November 21st to John and Lena Johnson Haskins. She received her education at Prince Edward County Public Schools. She was employed for over 40 years Farmville Tabocca Factory. She enjoyed riding, doing yard work and also ready to shop and catch a sale. She attended High Rock Baptist Church until her health began to fail. Hattie was married to John Lee Dabney who preceded her in death, Gertrude Johnson and Herbert Dabney.
She leaves behond her loving children Mary Stewart of Farmville, Denise (Mac) of Burkeville, Diane of Richmond Kenneth and Samuel of Rice. Also 6 grandchildren Ronnie, Tonya, John, Lacy, Travina, also one devoted Carla Faggins. She also leaves behind a host of great and great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, one son in law Rufus Johnson and one daughter in law Odessa Haskins, Florine Haskins, Edith Haskins and one brother in law Ernest Trueheart Jr.. Special thanks going out to her caregivers Marty Dais, Angie Davis and Diane Anderson.
