Illian D. Price

Illian Price, daughter of the late John Owens and Elizabeth Owens was born April 21, 1948, in Meherrin, VA. She transitioned 6:15a.m Jan 31, 2024, at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Va. Illian Price married Fred Price May 30, 1970. They resided in Baltimore, MD. To that union no children were born. However, they raised a beautiful baby girl, Whitney until her untimely death. Illian also shared a bonus son James and bonus daughter Bridgette (preceded her in death). Illian and Fred helped raise their niece, Consquilla Carey and her son Daquan Hill. Illian assisted with caring for multiple siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Illian was baptized at an early age at Forest Baptist Church in Meherrin, Va. She was later baptized again as an adult at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. Illian enjoyed attending church, shopping, eating out, traveling and family functions. She was a loving person and would give her last to her family and friends. Illian attended Price Edward County Schools until it closed. When the school reopened, she attended for a short period of time and then she moved to Baltimore, MD. She started a career at Social Security Administration in 1972. She worked there until she retired. Illian had eleven siblings. Two preceded her in death (James and Dan Owens).

She leaves behind her husband, Fred Price of Baltimore, MD; Four sisters Minnie Cooper of Baltimore, MD, Deloris Barta (Craig) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Marie Carey (Samuel) of Keysville, VA, and Bernadette Owens of Price George Virginia; Five brothers Robert Allen (Pastor Barbara Allen) of Baltimore, MD, John and Morris Owens of Meherrin, Va, Herman Owens of North Carolina and Lawrence Owens of Baltimore, MD. She also leaves in memory her beautiful aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
