Jacob Ernest Richardson from Washington DC, was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Howard University Hospital in Washington DC. Jacob was born November 15, 1937 in Meherrin, VA. to the late Hester Richardson, he received his education in the Public Schools of Prince Edward County. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Forest Baptist Church in Meherrin, VA. Jacob worked on the railroad, and in construction for several years and had his own roofing business. He enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica; he also enjoyed singing and the blues. He Loved being around family and friends., He was also a die-hard Washington Commanders fan. He was the husband of the late Deloris Richardson of Green Bay, VA. He proceeded to death by his mother Hester Richardson, his son Tracy Richardson and wife Deloris Richardson.
He leaves to his memories three daughters Elaine Smith of Green Bay, VA. Linda Gray (Valente Sr.) of Green Bay, VA. Nicole Frances (Grady) of Hampden-Sydney, VA; eight grandchildren Nakia Smith of Green Bay, VA; Krystal Eldridge (Anthony) of Buckingham, VA; Valencia Gray of Green Bay, VA; Valente Gray, Jr. of Green Bay, VA; James Gray (Shaniece ) of Buckingham, VA; Chiquitta Richardson of Hampden-Sydney, VA; Rashawn Richardson of Hampden-Sydney; D’Angelo Goins of North Carolina; Four Great Grandkids Diamond Smith, Destiny Smith, Valente Gray, Jayona Gray, and Kendall Goines. Five Step-sons and one step-daughter that he raised Maurice, Anthony, Durell, Montetim and Sister. Four close friends Shannon Smith, Reginald Dupree, Robert “Sam” Drayton, and Kyle “KB” Brown. A devoted friend Diane “DeeDee” Jones and her children Darnell, Darren, Tanisha, Tatyana, Ebony and Madisyn, and a host of cousins and friends.
