No Farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. John Edward Stewart, Sr. departed his life on November 2nd at his home in Farmville, VA. John was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to all that knew him until his sickness took over. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devotee wife: Mary Haskins Stewart of Farmville, VA.; one son John Edward Stewart, Jr. of Blackstone, VA; two step children Ronnie Haskins of Farmville, VA and Tonya Kimbrough (Abraham) of Buskingham, VA. One brother, Mr. Thomas Lingon of North Carolina; Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mother in-law Hattie Dabney of Richmond VA, ;two sister in-laws Kenneth and Sammie Dabney of Rice, VA and Herbert Dabney (Darlene) of Blackstone, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One nephew that was always there when he got sick; Robert Stewart and a special friend, Mrs. Pollie Kimbrough of Buckingham, VA.
