On November 16, 2019, The Lord looked among his army and called a mighty soldier home to rest. Joseph Wesley Miller Jr., affectionately known as "Lil" Joe" was that soldier. To know Lil Joe is to love him. He was the life of every party and family gathering, always staying true to himself while also providing love and laughter to the people around him. Lil Joe was born to the late Joseph Wesley Miller Sr and Anna Miller. He graduated from Prince Edward County High School in 1979, where he discovered his love for track and field and his natural talent in the sport. He went on to continue his education a t St. Augustine University on a track and field scholarship. Later, he joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed a t George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA to carry out his duties. Lil Joe was employed by Longwood College, Nottoway Corrections Beach Masonry and dedicated volunteer for Bright Futures of Virginia; making friends and creating memories with each opportunity. Early in his life, he married his high school sweetheart, Rose Miller, and from this union, God blessed them with 1 daughter, Melissa Miller. Their unique bod was undeniable, as he affectionately referred to her as his baby and she called him her heart. His daughter was truly the light of his life.
