Larry Jerome Logan, the son of Willie S. Harvey and Evangelist Gracie Logan was born on March 8, 1961, in Prince Edward County. At an early age, Larry was baptized at Race Street Baptist Church. Larry received his education in the Prince Edward County Public Schools system and graduated in 1979. Also, participated in sports and the fantastic marching Eagles band under the administration of Franks Williams. He went on to further his education at the Skills Center in Crewe, VA gaining his certificate in welding and plumbing. In his adulthood, he lived in Maryland for some years then, journeying to Richmond, VA where he worked with his uncle, Jack Logan, at Carpool until he thought he was the manager. Larry loved baseball. That would lead him to the Flying Squirrels in Richmond, VA. He loved the team so much he would talk your head off about them. Later on in life, he became connected with St. Paul Baptist Church in Richmond, VA where he served under the guidance of Dr. Lance D. Watson. Larry was a man of many words, strong words! Even though at times, Larry chose rough paths, friends had many good things to say about him. Many called him "Lo Bo." Through it all, God made his ending better than his beginning.
He leaves to cherish his mother Gracie Logan, daughter RaKendra Logan and son Tevin Logan, two granddaughters Kennedi and Erin Redd, two grandsons Alexander and Bentely Logan, two sisters Pamela White (Elder Luther) and Yolanda Best-Rance, one brother Welsey Best, one aunt Dorothy Taylor (Authur) , one uncle Lawrence "Freck" Logan, one great aunt Helen Logan (Shabazz), Larry is preceded in death by his father Willie S. Harvey , grandmother Frances Logan, and brother Torenzo Logan and sister Towanda Royster.
