Obituary

Linda Carolyn Carter was born in Cumberland, VA on April 13, 1955, to the late Willie Lee and Carrie Catherine Carter. She peacefully departed this world on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her home.

Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Midway Baptist Church. She was educated in Cumberland County Public School System.

Linda was a very jolly, carefree, and humble person who didn't mind helping anyone. She was loved by many who knew her. Linda was a hard worker and served in a host of jobs such as Service Master, St. Francis Home of Richmond, and The Maggie Walker Governor's School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Carrie Carter, brother Ernest Carter, and two sisters, Patty Carter, and Carrie Ann Carter.

Linda leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: a devoted son, Andre Carter; devoted daughter, Melinda Carter; five grandchildren, Drevon Edmonds, Andre Taylor, Michael, Marquis, and Makayla Harris; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rebecca Miller, Earlean, Estelle, and Barbara Carter; one brother, Willie J. "Donnie" Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
