Louise Todd Gilliam, daughter of the late Bennie and Mamie Todd departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Farmville Health and Rehab in Farmville, VA. She was born on September 7, 1918 in Nottoway County. Louise accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age, was baptized and joined the Gravel Hill Baptist Church. She was truly a faithful disciple, She attended regularly until her health declined. Even when she could no longer attend services physically, she diligently supported the church financially and prayerfully. At the time of her death, she was 101 years old, the oldest living member of the Church. Her body failed her but her mind was still as sharp as a tack! She loved the Lord and she loved her church family!
In addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband, George, 2 children Mary and George, 5 brothers, Wilson, Percile, Wilbert, Joseph, and James, 4 Sisters; Elizabeth, Berthia, Mary Ann and Lucille. We rejoice in their reunion in the sky. Louise leaves to cherish her memory : her daughter, Linda Gilliam and son Spencer Gilliam of Burkeville. They both were devoted to their mother and loved and honored her to the very end. She also leaves to carry on her legacy; 10 grandchildren. 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews relatives and friends. She will truly be missed, but we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. To God Be The Glory!
