On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, our hearts were broken as Michael McKinley Taylor received his wings to eternal rest. Michael was born on April 13, 1956 in Prospect, VA., to the (Late)
William and Pauline Taylor. At an early age, he was baptized at St. James AME Church in Prospect, VA. He received his education in Prince Edward County Public Schools. Michael was a faithful employee of the Norfolk & Western Railroad Company where he retired after several years of service. Michael enjoyed keeping up with the current events in the news. He was an avid sports fan; his two favorite teams were the Baltimore Ravens and the LA Lakers. When his teams were playing, he was watching. He looked forward to cheering them on whether they were winning or losing.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother Pauline Taylor of Prospect, VA., three sisters, Melinda Fisher of Decatur, Georgia, Patricia France (Keith) of Amelia, VA, and Wanda (Sang) Taylor of Winston Salem, NC., two brothers, James Taylor of Buckingham, VA., and MacArthur Taylor (Wanda) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Michael also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
