Bruce Miley, husband, father, Pa Pa Grandad was called to his eternal rest on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Bruce was born August 20, 1939 in Brooklyn New York, son of the late Eugene and Lucille Miley at an early age. He joined the Williamsburg Christian Church where he attended with his parents. He worked at Fanon Electric Company as a shipping supervisor. He was later hired by the Newark New Jersey Housing Authority where he worked until his retirement in 1997. He then moved to Farmville Virginia with his wife Id and joined the New Witt Baptist Church. Bruce joined the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the of the World in 2009. He was a member of the Prince Edward Lodge #269 where he served as Tiler and Trustee. In Elkdom, he was a dedicated member who served in many departments on State and National level. He was a past state President and a past Grand Exalted Ruler.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Jr. and his son Brian. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: loving wife of 45 years, Ida, 2 daughters; Constance (Dennis), Carla (Edwin) and son, (Andrew), 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. He leaves to remember his love; 3 step-grandchildren that he raised, Joseph, Marcos and Shadai. Also 4 step children; Andy, Joseph, Albert, Brenda, and (Yvonne deceased), 15 step-grands and 6 step great grands, 1 sister Kathelean, 4 sister-in-law, Eva (Floyd), Ada (Leo), Osa, and Geraldine. He had a host of Nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
