Patricia A. Baldwin

Patricia was the daughter of Garnett Smith, Jr. and Sallie Walden.  Patricia was born in Farmville, VA. on March 2, 1950.  She peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2026.  At an early age Patricia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Race Street Baptist Church.  She was educated at R.R. Moton School System.  Patricia went on to gain employment at Uniroyal and then on to Elder Care of Farmville where she dedicated 45 years.

A loving mother who enjoyed craft making, planting flowers, cooking, baking and antiquing.  She was very loving kind and forthright woman.  Patricia would help anyone destitute and in need.

She was proceeded in death by Garnett Smith Jr., Garnett Smith Sr., Lillie Scott, Curtis M Ward and Linda Ward.  Patricia Ann Baldwin's legacy continues through her children Michael J. Carter and Terrance B. Baldwin, Robert Baldwin Jr., Amanda P. Baldwin: grandchildren Chakra, Michael,  Shaquil, Rahmane, Tykerria, Myqual, Tyree, Malik, Tyron, Lamar, Da Lijah and Zola; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

There will be a public viewing this Saturday, April the 18th, 3:00-6:00 pm at Carl Eggleston’s Funeral Home, but on Sunday’s ceremony it will be private.

Calls and visits are going to people who will receive a pass for the private funeral through an immediate family member starting Tomorrow, Friday, April the 17th and by the viewing date, Saturday April the 18th.

If you did not get a pass and take offense not being able to go to the private funeral, you will be turned away at the viewing. It’s a very good test to find out if it’s about PATRICIA, OR YOU.

Please bring your pass while attending the ceremony. If you leave your pass at home and attend the ceremony, you will be asked to leave.

(Being my mom was a very punctual person, and we normally carry our IDs for entry into other establishments, I’m hoping we will have an understanding)

Michael Carter Jr, Robert Baldwin Jr, Amanda Baldwin, Terrance Baldwin, Lamar Baldwin and Tynaesha Blanton will be giving passes out. (These are the ones who were at her bedside at the time of her passing.)
