Phillip Edward Mayo, Sr.

Mr. Phillip Edward Mayo Sr. of Cartersville, VA, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 38, with his wife by his side. Phillip was born to parents Samuel Austin Mayo Sr. and Margaret Ann Mayo on December 23,1982 in Paterson, NJ. He grew up as the youngest of four kids and attended Cumberland High School. Along his journey he met and married his best friend, Ashley Stanley. Together throughout their journey they called Virginia, Georgia and even North Carolina home. Phillip was considered by many as a very skilled jack of all trades. He was able to start and run his own successful business in repairs. He loved spending time with his family, repairing electronics, creating music beats, as well as breeding and caring for his  beloved dogs.
In addition to his parents, his memory is cherished by his devoted wife, Ashley Stanley Mayo; children: Damion Mayo, Phillip Mayo Jr., Makhyla Mayo, Amore Mayo, Eliyannah Mayo and Ayden Mayo. Siblings; Mark Mayo of New Jersey, April Battle(Eric) of North Carolina and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his older brother Samuel Austin Mayo Jr.
