Samuel Foster, Jr.

Samuel Foster Jr., was born in Cumberland County, VA on August 22, 1949 to Samuel Foster Sr., and Helen Allen Foster. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Olive Baptist Church in Cumberland, VA.

Samuel started his own construction business, Sunrise Roofing and Construction company in Philadelphia. Due to his illness, he would retire. Samuel enjoyed fishing, boat riding and spending time with his family. He really enjoyed his sister's cooking and loved to eat. He loved doing yard work, keeping his grass cut and trimming his bushes. Samuel departed this life on October 11, 2023. Samuel was predeceased by his parents: Samuel and Helen Foster, brother: Charles and sister: Diana.

Samuel leaves to cherish fond memories of his wife of 40 years, Diane Foster; five children, Samuel Foster Jr., Martin Luther Foster, Gail Foster (James), Consandra Foster, and Dion Ruckers (Shannon); eleven grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Davenport (Wesley); one brother, Author Lee Foster (Brenda) and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.
