Susan G. Jackson

On December 26th, 2022, Susan Jackson gained her wings with her loving family by her side. Susan was the daughter of the late Ann Jackson. She was preceded in death by her Mother Ann Jackson, Brothers George and Michael Jackson, Goddaughter Teriah Scott, and Lifelong Companion James Trent. Susan graduated from Cumberland High School, and later devoted 34 years to serving the children at Cumberland Elementary School. Susan had a passion for cooking, and her home cooked meals and pies will be greatly missed. Although her name was Susan, she was affectionately known as “Ma” to nearly every child who knew her. Any child that was around her was a child that was loved. There was nothing that she loved more than her grandchildren. Each and every grandchild was dear to her heart and there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and shopping. 

She is survived by her children, Katina, Candace, DeAndra, Brian, and Jaime; grandchildren, Javonte, Dyani, Lamard, Ashanti, Khamani, Jaylyn, Neymyah, Jy’Asia, Jeremih, Logan, Zion, Kayden, Isabella, Nour, and Kamiyah; great grandchildren, Ty’Onna and Caydence; siblings, Ann, Frankie (Catrice), Nancy, and Brenda; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a very special nephew Joel.
