Mr. Vance Leon Nunnally passed on to a better life on February 15, 2022. He was born on April 22, 1937 to the late Wallace H. Nunnally and Mabel Marshall Nunnally in Prince Edward County. He was educated in the Prince Edward County school system where he graduated from R. R. Moton High School in 1957. At an early age, he was baptized and joined High Rock Baptist Church. Vance was a man of many talents. He loved to build and do yardwork. He worked in the furniture business for many years. He also worked and retired from Hampden-
Sydney College in 2009. He was a quiet man who loved his family. On July 8, 1961, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Annie Clark and to this union a daughter, Carolyn was
born. He was a devoted husband; father and grandfather who loved to take vacation trips with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Annie, daughter Carolyn Parrish (Marcus), two grandchildren: Andrea and Sydney, one sister Shirley Earley (Vincent), four brothers: Robert (Mary), Roy, Charles (Vivian), and Melvin (Mattie), two brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law, two aunts: Callie Jenkins and Pearl Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
