“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:8-30
On Monday, July 24, 2023, Wallace Eugene Townsend fondly known as Bro. T, departed this life in the comfort of his home in North Chesterfield, and entered his eternal life in glory. Wallace was born on May 17, 1949 to the late Earl and Dorothy Townsend in Meherrin, VA. Wallace was the first born of nine beautiful children. Wallace had a passion for roofing; although he mastered construction work of any kind, he loved to tear down and replace roofs. Wallace commuted back and forth from Meherrin to Richmond, for years to work, until he got tired and decided to make a change and relocated to Richmond, VA. Wallace enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Those who knew him, knew that whenever you were in his presence, you would be greeted with a smile, and his contagious laugh. Wallace was proceeded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorothy Townsend and his granddaughter, Vaniyah Atkins.
