Walter Jeter Clark was born on March 27, 1938. He was the youngest son of the late William and Claudia Clark. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member. He was educated in the Prince Edward County School System. In 1959, Walter was joined in holy matrimony to Sarah Miller and to that union they were blessed with three children. Walter was employed by Prince Edward State Park, Bassett Furniture, and Tharpe Trucking.
He faithfully served in the Usher Ministry, Combined Choir, Male Chorus, and Missionary Ministry. Walter loved to plant and grow vegetables and he loved to socialize. Walter leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 64 years, Sarah; one son, Walter Clark Jr. of Chase City, VA.; and one daughter, Pamela Clark of Burkeville, VA. His son, Wayne Clark, preceded him in death. Six grandchildren: Nakeam, Tamarion, Shaniya, Dailyn, Rihanna, and Jaden. Four sisters: Annie Nunnally, Mary Nunnally, Rosetta Lee, and Virginia Lee. Two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
